Description

Control unit for registering the D+ charging operation in a 12 volt vehicle electrical system (engine running).

If the additional consumers are only turned on while the engine is running (the alternator supplies power) or if the internal battery is charged by interconnecting the built-in battery and the starter battery via an isolating relay, usually the D+ contact of the alternator is switched off. used to control a relay.

Often, however, this contact on the vehicle is not accessible, is no longer available on newer alternators, is not available in a container build, or generally must be a voltage dependent control.

This is where the D+ Simulator can help. Generates a corresponding signal for a subsequent strong (disconnect) relay under voltage control (eg from the starter battery).

Other applications result in the control of additional consumers that should be activated only when the battery is sufficiently charged, e.g. turning on an air conditioner while driving or switching a refrigerator, cool box or heat box to on-board 12V operation.

An intelligent voltage evaluation of the switching thresholds prevents faulty control of voltage dips or spikes.

Dynamic threshold detection also prevents drift around switching points when switching very large loads.

The indication of the switching state is carried out by means of a light-emitting diode.

The electronics are protected against moisture, the connection is made in the rear terminal compartment via a pluggable screw terminal.

The switching output can be loaded with 12V/0.5A, short circuit and overload test and PNP type, plus output, load on the ground side.
