Should I have flat or standard mirrors?

Throughout the world, Milenco sells more standard than flat mirrors.

In the UK there is a historical preference to buy Flat Mirrors over Standard. We believe this date goes back to the time when convex mirrors from other manufacturers severely distorted the view, making distance assessment difficult.

Milenco's standard mirrors typically have the same radius as 95% of car door mirrors, they will give you the same field of vision you are used to when driving or reversing.

Flat mirrors will give you a smaller field of vision than your car mirrors.

Whichever Milenco Mirror you choose, you'll get the best possible quality and field of view, but if you ask our opinion on which is better, we'd say Standard.

Should I have standard or extra wide?

Typically our extra wide mirrors are made for 8ft (2.5m) caravans, however if you have a narrow car you may need extra wide mirrors with a 2.3m caravan.

We see many cars towed with mirrors, which are too close to the body of the vehicle when in fact, to comply with the law, the mirror head must be positioned far enough away to fully see the side of the camper.

As a simple test, if you look at the side of your camper from behind looking forward, you should be able to see the entire mirror head projecting out of both sides of the camper.
