For a long time, the oscillations of the trailer structure on irregular routes have been feared. Traditional standard shock absorbers have hardly been able to improve driving safety. Being designed for too wide a weight range (for example, from 0 to 4 t), optimal damping was only achieved in medium-weight trailers (2 t). In the lower weight range, however, it was too damp. The effect: the trailer bounces and bumps. In the higher weight range, on the contrary, the damping is not enough. The octagonal damper from AL-KO, on the other hand, improves the driving properties of the trailer and dampens optimally through precise adaptation.
