Sika Primer-207 is a solvent-based black primer which reacts with moisture to form a thin (film-forming) layer. This layer acts as a bond between the substrate and the adhesive. Sika Primer-207 was specially developed for the pretreatment of surfaces to be bonded in combination with Sikaflex adhesives. This primer shows excellent adhesion to many substrates even without prior use of Sika activator. Sika Primer-207 fluoresces for a limited period of time under long-wave UV light. This property is used for process control.

Application

Sika Primer-207 is used to improve adhesion to a wide variety of substrates such as glass, ceramic coated glass, plastics, primers, painted surfaces, electronic coatings and metals. Please observe the manufacturer's recommendations before using Sika Primer-207 on materials prone to stress cracking. Preliminary tests with original materials should be carried out to avoid stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests with the original materials should be carried out under the respective conditions.
