Description
Kit of two 14cm TITAN automatic refrigerator fans, easy to install for caravans, motorhomes and campers.
It can be connected directly to the Dometic ventilation grille www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RQ4XwsBV88. The double fan is adapted to Dometic ventilation grilles. The blades may be different on other grilles (e.g. Thetford), so it is probably possible to install them, but only with a little more effort by making changes (e.g. inserting rubber knobs or similar).
The difference with our old TTC-SC09 series refrigerator fans is that the fans turn on automatically in AUTO mode AND ALSO TURN OFF AUTOMATICALLY BELOW 20°C. The fan speed depends on the ambient temperature.
It significantly improves the refrigerator's cooling performance and it is possible to save up to 40% energy with absorption refrigerators. Both automatic control of the fan speed, using the included temperature sensor, and manual control are possible.
Product Features:
Timer mode
automatic temperature control
At temperatures of 20°C or less, the fans automatically switch off
The fan speed is automatically regulated between 20° ~ 45° C depending on the temperature.
Above 45°C, the fans automatically operate at maximum speed.
Dust and water jet resistant according to IP 55, making it also suitable for outdoor use.
Hook strip for easy attachment directly to the vent (tested on Dometic vents)
Equipped with exclusive TITAN 9-blade fans for silent operation
External dimensions including frame = 29 x 14 x 3.2 cm (WxHxD)
You should first connect the dual fan BEFORE INSTALLING IT and test if the fans spin and also to notice which direction the airflow is coming in or out.
The refrigerator fan should be mounted in the upper vents of your camping vehicle, preferably so that the warm air extracted can escape to the outside. If installed in the lower vents, the double fan could block the gas supply when the refrigerator is running on gas.
For top vent mounting:
Have the top of the fan assembly (the one with the stickers and blue TITAN logo) facing inwards (towards the inside of the vehicle), then the used warm air will be sucked out of your vehicle and out.
For bottom vent mounting:
Proceed in reverse, that is, mount the fan assembly with the top (the side with the stickers and the blue TITAN logo) facing outwards, then the cool air will enter into the cooler.
Temperature sensor placement:
The temperature sensor should be placed approximately 5cm above the refrigerator's cooling fins. DO NOT stick the sensor on the refrigerator's cooling fins!
In any case, after installing the dual fans, it is advisable to reinsert the grille that comes with the vehicle, especially if it is installed on the lower ventilation grille, so that the fan blades are protected and there is no risk of injury.
Speed control operating instructions.
Manual operation
When operating manually, only the blue LEDs light up. You can increase or decrease the fan speed in 6 steps by pressing the + or – button. Each press increases or decreases the speed by one step. The number of blue LEDs depends on the selected speed level.
Automatic operation
In automatic operation, the green lamp lights up as soon as the fans rotate. If the ambient temperature exceeds 20°, the fans start to rotate automatically. The fans are temperature controlled between 20°-45°C. At temperatures above 45°C, the fans automatically operate at maximum speed.
Below 20°C, the fans stop automatically and the LED no longer lights up green, but red.
If no LEDs light up (neither blue, nor green, nor red), the fan is completely off.
